What is the difference? Arse is just a "polite" (ptsch) way to say ass, ne?

Basically an arse is on the opposite side of your anatomy to your meat and two veg whereas an ass can be found pulling a cart and is often refered to as a donkey.

Yea, from your description, they seem to be the same thing.

But neither ass nor (or is it "or?") arse are the actual words for your, er, gluts. So, since arse is another way to say ass, they both mean donkey.

Ass was dumbed down to mean your gluts. It thus became a swear. So people made up the word "arse" because it seemed more polite, but since it came from arse, it means ass, still. Both mean donkey. Neither really refer to your rear.

    BTW, it's "understand."

Someone quick! Change their avatar to a donkey so we can keep up the hissing match!

Geeks are only violent online. IRL, those two'd just be uncomfortable at each other.

Maybe so, but if I see a duck near my monitor, I'd be uncomfortable with him to death!

Don't flatter yourself, and I think the duck'd be a lot more uncomfortable than you.

lol. Yeah, that would be great(and funny)! Then take that duck, set him in the White House, tell the cook to roast him for dinner, and the duck will run off and kill Bush. YAY!!!!

(that was just a whole load of random crap, don't mind me, I'm loopy )
