I've only ever had 3 avatars on this place. My current avatar is my favourite of the three so far though.

It's also the only avatar of yours I've ever liked.

Incidentally, my current avatar (and as I said, favourite to date) is also my only avatar I've designed myself.

My original is also my favorite, though I'm using this one because I figured it was time for a change

I like mine now, my other two consisted of master chief wielding an energy sword and that winter forest picture that comes default with XP.

I chose my Avatar here because the size restriction doesn't suit the one I favour most forums, LOL, I'm not grumbling, just saying.
I use one of my own paintings, why shouldn't I? They're mine!
The one here is chosen because of it's shape and that the detail survives shrinking. It's of the War Goddess Morrigan, shape shifted to a Crow. You can read about it on this page here...Battle Crow

10 million gold stars for anyone who can tell me where I got this little heart in my avatar from.

And no poking fun at the avvie either. I suck at all things graphic.

MIM: nope, not an MSN icon. But it is from (*gasp*) Microsoft something...

It's the MS Hearts logo from the games that come with Windows.
