Uh, no, Ed was always a girl. She was never a boy... o_O And Ed is awesome. BTW, I've only seen a few episodes, andnever the movie. Blagh. Furries are odd...
Furries ARE weird. I've seen a number of episodes and the movie. Ed IS a girl. One of the best hackers around, apparently. And Ed named herself, which explains the Ed bit.
Did she, now? I knew that she was an orphan from Earth... but not much else is given about her origin, aside from how she got on the Bebop (covered on Shooting Star, not on the normal series). And, yes, she and Tomato are both hackers, Ed supposedly being the best, like Bob said.
