There's another side to this story. Are you sure Google will index XHTML 2.0 as soon as browsers start supporting it?

This was an issue for XHTML until recently (1 year or so if I remember correctly), and still is for XML.

XML with XSLT will work perfectly in IE and FF (though not in Opera), but one cannot use XML client-side because Google is not indexing it.
When we're talking XML, Google and Opera are the villains, not IE.

They index Microft Word documents and they don't index XML. How stupid is that?
The danger of religion lies in its most attractive feature. It is the arrogance that comes with thinking you possess the ultimate knowledge.

If only IE supported XHTML. Or DTD's. It's all about content-negotiation with XHTML. But wait till XHTML 2 rolls out. Can you say "no backwards compatability"?

That's gonna be a serious problem, since there are some pretty old browsers out there... and if XHTML 2.0 is cutting edge, then EVERYTHING'S gonna be an old browser, whether it's Internet E-Horror, Fireflop, Slopera, or what-have-you.

Nope, only Internet Exploder will trip up with new versions of XHTML.

Eh... debatable. I'm against the horizontal rule element myself, but I'm sure there are valid uses for it (legal documents, as a replacement for "***" in stories) so I wouldn't say "nix it."

It's parody, though. A harmless poke at his physical appearance. We do the same thing to foreign leaders (e.g.: the phrase "towel-head.") so why is it taboo to do it to our own?

Ooh, I hate you... nice lynx, though. Your best avatar yet.

XHTML2.0 seems interesting to me, too... if it does come out, I'ma support it ASAP. I'll just have to use "absolute styling" (not falling back on anything, e.g. a paragraph's default margins, or an h1's text size) for backwards compatibility among browsers (assuming IE still only qualifies as a "HTML renderer," at best).

Thank you. One day, I'd like to see a lynx in real life, rather than chasing down pictures via hyperlinks

Are bob-cats the same as lynxes...lynxi...lynxs...whatever? I've seen a few of those around where I live, maybe I could take some pics pour vous.

If I recall correctly, there are four main species of lynxes:
    • Canadian Lynx
    • Eurasian Lynx
    • Iberian Lynx
    • Bobcat

Iberian Lynxes are just about extinct, and the Eurasian Lynx isn't common either anymore. My Fursona, Jack Daniels, is half Eurasian/half Canadian Lynx.

I belong to a subculture called "The Furry Fandom". To us, a Fursona (short for Furry Persona) is basically an anthropomorphic animal (animal given human-like characteristics) that we choose to represent us online and in real life, whether it be through roleplaying, writing stories, chat rooms, forums, artwork, or fursuiting (dressing up in an animal costume.)

In my case, Jack Daniels Krowfight is an idealized version of myself; often Fursonas and the people behind them are wildly different.

    Hope this helps.

Yeah, all the avatars I post are based on my Fursona.
