A bit of a sticky wicket...

Is there any way to use the ol' 'Target="_new"' command and still remain valid xhtml 1.0 strict or, better yet, valid xhtml 1.1?

    Thanx.

Nope, it's not in the spec, though I think it's in the xhtml 2.0 spec, have a look at this: http://www.youngpup.net/Mastah.aspx?...ilename=popups

You gotta be kidding me? target is going to be XHTML 2.0???

Is that because of the xframes?

Unfortunately this means that it will again be valid to open new windows with links which don't rely on JavaScript and still be valid.
I think they should come up with a new attribute such as xtarget so that developers can't use _blank because it won't do anything.
