    Batch image processor tool advice

I process hundreds of images for web. Currently I use photoshop scripts for this but want to move away from that, would like something I can script in Node.js.

    I'm currently looking at

    http://sharp.dimens.io/en/stable/

    https://www.npmjs.com/package/imagemagick

Both those core processing libs seem actively supported:

    https://github.com/jcupitt/libvips
    http://git.imagemagick.org/repos/ImageMagick

The image processing will done offline so speed isn't an issue but decent jpeg compression aesthetics is.

    Any other recommendations?

Thanks but I'm using Macs. This is what I'm testing right now:

    https://www.npmjs.com/package/gulp-image-resize

It uses the ImageMagick or GraphicsMagick engine wrapped in the Gulp framework. One surprising thing is that GraphicsMagick gives way better results (image quality/file size) than ImageMagick for jpeg compression.
