Question Why do search engines show the outdated version of my homepage?

Hey, I've tried google, bing, yahoo and they all show the very old version of my website in the preview. I've used Lorem Ipsum articles back then and it seems they indexed my website a months ago and now show these outdated previews. So is there a way to:

    a) avoid this in the future
    b) make them change the previews?

(if you don't understand, you can search mindfulfil (the website is mindfulfil.com) and see it for yourself)

Hi and welcome to the site. Taking your questions in reverse order:

    b. Request a re-index by each of the search engines.

    a. Ideally, do your development in a separate development area (preferably off-line). If you feel that is over-kill, or as well, set up a ROBOTS.TXT file. This will allow you to tell the search bots to ignore all, or parts, of your site.

If your host has a cPanel then you should be able to issue a resubmission to search engines in one click.

... and please remember to wrap code with forum BBCode tags:-

If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...

I would suggest you just to use google webmaster tool and re-crawl your page ("scan as googlebot" option). Your page will be reindexed fast after this.

Google Search Console (previously Google Webmaster Tools) is a no-charge web service by Google for webmasters. It allows webmasters to check indexing status and optimize visibility of their websites. ... Check and set the crawl rate, and view statistics about when Googlebot accesses a particular site.
