    HELP - URL Design

I'm working on a website for business traveler safety for my employer. The site will be built on Sharepoint but we are looking to use a simple, easy to remember URL redirect for marketing purposes (verbal marketing and printed marketing materials).

I don't know much about URL design...which is easier to remember? We are leaning towards the second option as we already have a travel website called *** URL DELETED BY MODERATOR ***. Ive left my company name out for obvious reasons.

*** URL DELETED BY MODERATOR ***

2nd option doesn't make much sense because not only user needs to remember subdomain, but also subdirectory.

Personally, I would go for companyname.com/safetravel, but might also consider creating safetravel.companyname.com and then doing 301 redirect to companyname.com/safetravel

I suggest that you use URL rewriting to pic up on a URL that has a subdomain in it.

companydomainname.tld results in normal site operation
travelsafety.companydomain.tld results in the .htaccess rewrite rules picking up on the travelsafety subdomain and redirecting at the server level and not at script level (in php)

A URL for humans must human readable to make it memorable...
--> JavaScript Frameworks like JQuery, Angular, Node <--
... and please remember to wrap code with forum BBCode tags:-

    [CODE]...[/CODE] [HTML]...[/HTML] [PHP]...[/PHP]

If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...
