I have seen some nasty stuff, but this is just hillarious that they are trying to sell a nonvalid layout, with animated gifs, ugly banners, crappy backgrounds, AND MIDIS. I can't compete with you, today atleast. I am going to ask them what they charge.
How much would you ask for something just like that bowler derby page? How much do you charge for an annoying song, some ugly animated gifs and a validator report like this http://validator.w3.org/check?verbos...p/bowlset.html ? Its not even 4.01 transitional... that is a pretty loose doc type. Would my business really benefit from a site like that?
my email to them. I hope it pisses them off and they yell at me. That will be funny. Ill quote their reply.

Well im not really in favour of offending peoples skills but i think that one might make them snap to attention towards a new kind of layout.

Maybe they should visit these here forums!

I like to make fun of people when they do stuff like this and try to sell it. Its outragious, that they would try to make cash from this.

Well there are so many dodgy "Web Development" companies around who only use Frontpage and use Paint for images. We can laugh at them!

Well i suppose the world isn't perfect.

I wouldn't mind if you had to pass an exam to practice web development. Except it would be so hard to control behind the computer screens.

I have had experience with cowboy plumbers and builders so i know how bad it is when you get ripped off.

    I know a web design company i won't be reccomending...cough cough www.kalart.com/ cough cough.

    Best Wishes,
    David

You would be surprised at how many large-scale Web Design firms use code-generating editors to make their pages.

Both the companies i have worked for used Frontpage for page layout and then gave it to us developers to write the backends and fancy crap.

Its just too slow writing a Web Site by hand for the big players...

    Regards,
    Andrew Buntine.
