    madprofile.com

    This is the new layout I'm working on for a site called www.madprofile.com
    Here is the layout I'm doing for them.

    the tables are so the thing like the content can expand as more information goes into it. I know of no other way to do that.

    Which is one of the main bonuses to css-based design, flexability. You could easily put each of those into a div and create that same effect.

    I used css to lay the tables out. But how do I create the tab link effect and the content box effect using only css and not using tables with background images.

    your colours dnt look that good i dnt like them. if you want orange try this approch www.orange.net.au (they use swish for their flash animations)
    also i would add in the css section a:hover so u can hover links cause they look more better.

    Well if you want my personal opinion I think the old design is better (at least visually). That probably doesn't help you much but it might make you re-think your design ideas. Sorry if that came out rude. I wasn't trying to be.
