    Problem with French accent asp/access

    Hi!

    i'm trying to help a friend (i'm better in php) witch have a tool manager asp/access for his site.

    The problem is that when he write, for example "Août" in the field, in the access db, it's "Août" ... so is there some decode/encode special character in asp or did someone have a trick for that situation???

    Thank
    turb

    try:

    1) <%Response.Write Server.HTMLEncode("Août")%>

    2) this will be a royal pain if you have much data entry to do but try having him enter "Ao (& u c i r c ;) t" take out parens and spaces, had to put them in so browser wouldn't render it.

    I'm not sure if your ask me or telling me here. If asking the answer is 'yes':
    Server.HTMLEncode(stringValue)

    again you might try:

    Code:
    DIM strSQL

    strSQL = "INSERT INTO yourTable " & _
             "(yourField) " & _
             "VALUES ("&Server.HTMLEncode("Août")&")"
