thumnail gallery page in CSS

I'm thinkin about making some kind of photography website that has sections of thumbnail galleries. Does anyone know of any sites like that, which use CSS? Are there any templates or examples of how to make a thumbnail gallery with CSS?

I don't want to use tables anymore, so I want to learn CSS before I really start this site. I have a basic understanding of how CSS works with font's and things, but as far as using it in place of tables for layout, I'm still kinda clueless. If I could see examples of how this is done (esp thumbnail pages), that would be really cool.
