    Apache Help?

Im using xampp and i did the usual installation but while trying to connect to the localhost it keeps getting refused. I do have the apache batch file running so their should be no problems.

    Hope someone can help
    Cheers

Start up without running the batch file and see what happens. Are you sure PWS or IIS hasn't snuck in on ya?

It just sounds like the server isn't running OR it isn't listening on port 80. Can you view a task list and see that Apache is really running?

Oh, also make sure you don't have a firewall interfering. A local firewall can keep your browser from connecting to the server even when the host is localhost.
