C# date functions?

Are there any C# date functions that I don't know about... or do I need to do all the string parsing myself?

I need to compare a smallDateTime query to a variable of type Date.

A weird dream at about 5 AM this morning helped me figure it out...

DateTime date_dt = DateTime.Parse(date_str);

This will convert the date string to type DateTime, thus allowing you to access all it's properties.
