    Yeah, why can't we? A while ago it was sort of on and off, but now you can't at all. This is bad. People frequently post in the wrong places, or hit "New Thread" instead of "Post Reply", or such things.

    i believe it has something to do with the fact that dave clark (i think) deleted each of his 5000 posts when he got upset once.
    Yes, I'm a supermoderator. I'm not an administrator, but I like to pretend that I am. I have my own little administrator cape that I like to wear while I browse the forums.

    You could limit the amount of deletes to 3 a day and 20 a month or something.

    there are plenty of possible solutions, the problem is finding practical ones. i doubt that would be easy.

    What's wrong with deleting your own posts? You posted it, it's yours, even if it's digital. If you want to retract the statement, why take away that right?

    Well maybe it is not allowed as a measure to stop threads having cracks appear as people delete posts. I am impartial to be honest, i will just edit my post if i believe it is not worthy for the el developers'.
