buttons and text boxes

Hi there i was just wondering if someone had a simple example of a script used like here where u click the button and it adds the text to where the curser is in the text box. all i need is a litle code to get me going then im sure that i will be able to do the rest as in changing everuything for the other buttons that i need myself

Hope that this isnt too cheeky of me im more a PHP programmer than javascript scripter.
