I had posted this in the general forum, and was told it was better suited for this one, so I am re-posting it here...
I've come to the conclusion that my company needs one for freelancers and temps to read when they start working for us. We generally have a temp at the front desk, and when they are bored, they surf, which is fine... except when they download stuff of the internet (read: spyware), or, as was the case last week, look at porn!! I'm getting tired of having to clean up this PC.
Do any of you have a written policy about this stuff that I could rewrite to suit my company, and would you be willing to post it or privately email it here to me??
I have not got a pre-written one for you, though, writing a fresh one could not be too hard.
Just list a few ground rules, such as [n]No porn!![/b], etc.
Due to recent occurances, I/we/upper management have devised the following list of ground rules, which must be recognised and obeyed whilst this machine is being used to browse the World Wide Web.
1. Download ADAWARE or GIANTSPYWARE. You should be able to find it at www.downloads.com.
2. Also you might want to consider downloading spywareblaster
I think the internet address is www.sypwareblaster.net which will ensure that alot of this spyware doesn't even get a chance to download to your computer.
3. Download Firefox or Mozilla which are far superior Internet browsers than IE.
