    Java Applet problem in Windows XP

    Dear All,

    We have used java applets to load a dynamic menu in an application.
    It is working fine in all windows version except windows XP.
    It displays a message to install Java Virtual Machine and we have installed it. After installation, it is working for some time, then again it is not working. Message displayed in status bar as "Java Applet load failed and Exception error displays as follows.

    I suspect XP is auto updating at some point and that installation process is screwing up your JRE install.

    I'd start by uninstalling and reinstalling the JRE on those machines. Then I'd be very watchfull of the XP upgrade cycle.
