    Future of ASP

Will standard ASP continue to be in widespread use in the future? Or will it eventually be replaced by asp.net? From the standpoint of an intermediate level developer, what is the more logical technology to focus on, asp.net or regular asp?

    thanks

you should probably go with asp.net just because it seems as though everything is turning .net!

There is also the issue of support. At some point Microsoft will stop supporting IIS 5 altogether, just as they have previous versions.

Microsoft stopped developing ASP years ago. Its a shame, though.

Tehre are still alot of jobs available for ASP developers (mainly short contract-based jobs), though, definetely go with .NET if you want to work in industry.

    Regards.
