IMAP Tries To Dial Up
A friend of mine has an odd problem, and I'm hoping someone here either knows how to fix it, or can point me in the right direction.
She accesses her email through Outlook Express configured to synchronise with an IMAP server.
She accesses the web with her laptop through one of several broadband connections, depending on where she is.
She usually has no problem loggin on, but if she leaves her mail idle, Outlook Express seems to lose the broadband connection and the laptop opens the dial-up dialog to try to establish a connection through one of her dial-up accounts.
The effects all applications accessing the internet, and only happens when Outlook Express is active.
I have increased the amount of time to time-out on the IMAP mail account in Outlook Express and this only seems to reduce timeout frequency, but it does not eliminate the problem.
