I would like to set up an online event calendar on a website I am working on. Does anyone know of a good calendar program I can use? Please also list the pros and cons.

what server side languages do you have on your server? There are some scripts that are php, some asp, some asp.net, so on and so fourth, so before we can reccomend anything we need to know. Buntine, the asp mod here, made a dandy calendar with a cms for it back in the day, you might want to talk to him about that. This was one of the best calendar aps I have seen.
