    site maintenance

    Hey guys,

What do you think is a fair per hour / flat price for regular maintenance of a database for a website?

It would be about 6-8 hours per week, with things like updating information, adding / deleting, and organizing data. This would be in a database that is already established.

So what do you guys think ?

There are alot of variables. For example, it depentds who the client is; how established your expertise are; the size of the Web Site and database; the nature of the updates; whether you will be using a GUI, etc.

I would charge about $40 an hour for basic updates of a larger database.

    Regards.

My expertise, not so established ...
Website would be maybe small business size, and the rest I'm not sure about

Btw, I checked out your website, and in the portfolio section, the second site, School House Rock, the design has changed ...

    Thanks for the reply

Try negotiating with them. Aim for about $35 per hour. See what they have to say about that figure.
