    phpmyadmin

    Hey, my friend is trying to set up phpmyadmin on his srver and he gets the error:


    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: preg_match() in /usr/local/www/data-dist/phpmyadmin/libraries/defines.lib.php on line 36


    which I have never encountered. Does anyone have any ideas or any place I might be able to ask?

    Firstly you need to check that he has got PHP4 and PHP5 extensions installed correctly on his server, this has been known to have the same problem but with phpNuke - same error, different file.
