    Secure Socket Layer

    I've heard too much about SSL, but don't how to deploy it for my e-commerce website. I must register for an account with some SSL provider ?

    Yes, thats right. The method you use will vary depending on your server. You can get an open source SSL toolkit from http://www.openssl.org/. I have had no experience with this package, though.

    Hey Buntine.

    There are dedicated Secure Socket Layers and 'Shared Socket Layers', < which is what I have with my hosting provider.

    What is the real difference in these two? Speed? Is the Dedicated SSL really more secure? And the most famous questions of them all. Why?
