They offer preregistration of www.forename.surname worldwide. May be not a bad idea to have www.brian.smith as my new domain, but it takes long time until they are fully operational. I'll try to get it.
I'm not convinced. They may be offering preregistration, but it's not at all clear whether the system they describe will ever be implemented. They are talking about major changes to the TLD allocation system but there is nothing to indicate ICANN will seriously consider their proposal. I'd wait until they have at least received consent from one of the Internet governing bodies and started setting up the necessary infrastructure.
