new window won't open in netscape

any one know as to why this may be
it has to do with my upload button it's supposed to call my uploadfile and open a new window in the second form near the bottom of the script(se attachment).
the files r uploaded but the window never is brought up.
I'm at my wits end with netscape.
Is target=" _blank / _new " not compatible with netscape?
any help would be appreciated.

Are you aware that HTML 4.01 STRICT does not include support for the TARGET reference in links?

well I have IE 6.0 and netscape 7.0
I have used traget in an other of my programs and it has worked fine.
I had to put in the time out function(dave clarks idea) so that my values could be passed.

would this be a catch 22?

or is my code just messed up?

I have just tried your code on Moz1.3

1.browsed and selected a file.
2.clicked submit

This is what happened.

first alert box with mentioning that file could not be found with asp stuff in it ( makes sense to me)
Second alert with correct file path
Third a new window(blank) opens and another message box with asp code and file could not be found.

Now what is it which is not expected.Please explain your question a bitmore.
