I recently offered a seller around a grand for www.zomp.com. He said he already had other offers in the $xx,xxx range that he turned down and is looking for $45,000 for the name.
I'm not really experienced in the domain business but is this guy having me on? Could he possibly get anywhere near $45,000 for the name?
However in today's market I highly doubt it. There are a number of Domain appraisal sites, however for the amount of money this seller wants I think your better off looking elsewhere.
Agreed. I was big into the domain industry during the "rush" and ran DomainNotes.com. He might have been lucky enough to get a few thousand back in the day, but even then that domain wouldn't have been worth $45K. I'd start looking elsewhere.
