New in PHP

I'm starting to study php in a few days and I would like to know if I'll be able to use it having windows 98se,I will be buying a new computer in a few months but I will like to practise from home in the meantime.

PHP is a server-side language, therefore you need a test platform(server) to use it. You can write php on any computer that has at least notepad, but I think apache and php support may not go as far back as 98 if you plan on making your own computer a server.
