textarea tag with flexible width/cols ?

Hi all,

I have a textarea tag that has 60 columns and say 4 lines... my issues is that I would like the texarea to have flexibility to change width (I incapsulate it in a window with an iframe I can change width) and reduce to a variable numebr of coulumns with wrap. i.e. another way of saying this is IMAGINE a textarea with cols="100%"... get my gist ?

My target browser is IE6 but more portability is welcome...

Yes it works fine. I was misguided because I read somewhere that the col parameter of the textarea tag is a required parameter. But I dont see any reason not to use it after some testing.
