Cannot delete .exe file.

Boot into dos and take care of the bugger, you might do that from your windows xp disk and just go into repair mode and cd over to the desktop and delete it.

start the cmd
you can find it in WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe

then get to the root by typing "cd.." + return
make your way to your desktop by typing "cd <dirname>"
then, when you found the desktop directory, type "del <filename>"

maybe start your pc in safe mode and try to delete it from there?

as i was wondering around the forums i saw this post....
I had a similar problem once, tried deleting it through dos and all, but no success.
then i decided to try to find some help through google and found this.(available free)

i believe this is the correct syntax. try it

c:/somwhere/forcedel filename.exe

i have the same problem except i cant use unlocker because when i right click all i get as options are open and send to anyone know what to do

did you you check "install explorer add-on" or whatever when you installed it?

yea unlocker works for every file except for .mp4 file

You can usually just boot into safemode and get these too... I mean that is how I got rid of viewpoint.
