    Question adding attachments to emails

is there any way to modify the mailto command to grab an file from a user's local drive and attach it to an email...so all they have to do is click send and the mail w/ attachment is on its way?

In a word, no. That would be a severe privacy issue if it were possible, as most people would probably not notice that a file was being attached from their hard drive and sent along.

Using the extended mailto: format you can set some of the headers, such as subject, and even a default message body, but there is no way to default a file attachment.

You can use for this a free component from http://aspfree.com/components/Default.aspx.
