Formmail.asp or SMTP Server Problem

I have set up a form on an Intranet. The IIS 6.0 server has SMTP server installed and running. When I click the submit button on the form I get the following error:

Formmail v1.3 detected the following errors:
error no.: -2147220973
description: The transport failed to connect to the server.


Can anyone help?
