I am using Windows Media Play 9 and I have created a simple metafile playlist similar to this:

<ASX VERSION = "3.0">

Playlist

Title1

<REF HREF = "http://ServerName/Path/title1.wma" />

Title2

<REF HREF = "http://ServerName/Path/title2.wma" />

Title3

<REF HREF = "http://ServerName/Path/title3.wma" />

Title4

<REF HREF = "http://ServerName/Path/title4.wma" />

</ASX>

I named it playlist.asx and uploaded it to my website. It works and will stream and play the songs just fine.

When I open playlist.asx directly from my hard drive with Windows Media Player in Full Screen mode, the lower right-hand box will display all the songs: title1 to title4. However, when I do a File Open URL and put in http://ServerName/Path/playlist.asx it will not display the list of song titles in the box.

Could some one please tell me how I can get all the song titles displaying in Windows Media Player from a URL address opening a .asx file.

Thanks,

Bill
