Getting DW8 to put CSS Positioning in External File

Right in dreamweaver 8 you draw a layer and DW adds CSS to position it on the same page. How do I get it to add the css to an external file?

you wil have to do it manually, or use the 'CSS Style' panel

oh, thats a shame, for a moment there I thought dreamweaver was going to get something right.

What's wrong with it? You can just tell it to do it for you. In the css panel at the side you just click a button and it puts it all in an external files for you.
