Thumbs down #$%&! Dreamweaver and Standardizing Links

    OK -

I've got a bunch of links a mile long with tons of ampersands (&'s) in them. In order to make my page validate, I've got to change them to:
    Code:
    &
DW will let me change them, but then when I go to validate, they're not recognized in the validator. So, I change them using Notepad or WordPad; no problem, the page is valid.

BUT the next time I open the page in DW, they're converted back to ampersands, and I have to go through this whole process again.

Is there anyway to override this DW bug?

    Thanks,
    KDLA

go to: Edit > Preferences > Code Rewriting
    check: Encode <, >, &, and " in attribute values using &
check: Encode special characters in URLs using &#
