I am not sure if this is entirly javascript or not, but is there a quick and easy way of creating a counter for a individual or several specific GIF files in a directory. I just want to see how many hits a certain file recieves such as a GIF file. I dont need anything fancy, just something that counts up.
You can use onClick on image/link and there generate AJAX request which will call script which updates data in file/database on server. That's first thing I thought about, maybe there's easier solution.
