Question asp server for windows xp

I am trying to start coding asp on windows xp home addition. I want to test my pages on my local machine before eventually putting them on a remote server.
Can someone recommend software that will allow me to do this. Open source software if possible - I don't want to upgrade to windows xp professional just to use their Personal Web Server.
    Thanks.

I believe you NEED XP Pro to debug ASP code. If I'm wrong, you can try Web Matrix.

There are not many out there are do not have some fee attached to them. Several decent ones support ASP but you must purchase an add-on module that will provide that support. Here is a link to one that advertises that it supports ASP natively, but I have not used it or seen it in action. Perhaps give it a try.

In case you haven't tried my suggestion yet I can tell you that I downloaded it and put it to the test. It will serve up ASP pages just fine, however it does have a few limitations that are listed in the documentation. The first one that got me was the fact that it doesn't support application variables (boo!). It may be ok for you as it is.
