How do I implement html in my forms?

I have a form where people fill it out and it gets posted for others to see.

The form is currently all text based. WYSIWYG.

I'd like to allow my users to use HTML to "spruce" up their entries if they would like.

Can anyone clue me in on how to make that happen?

Also, I understand that this poses a security risk... any suggestions on how to best get around the risk?

    thanks in advance!

I suggest you allow bbcode instead of HTML.

Does your server support PHP? If so, check out these.

Design/program for Firefox (and/or Opera), apply fixes for IE, not the other way around.
