Arrow Establishing a Web Page for a Stand Alone Network

I just learned how to build a web page, but now I'm stuck. I have a network of computers that are connected via modem, but I do not use the internet. How dow I post the page? What do I do for an FTP? Do i need to use the lame labeling structure (ie www. or .com or can I make up my own structure?

Any help would be much appreciated!

You will need a webserver. I have used clarkconnect in the past for similar projects. Works very well and you only need an old computer to run it (you can also use it as a file server and a printer server if you want).

The address of the website would then be http://192.168.0.1 (or whatever the ip address of the server is). Clarkconnect also has DNS capabilites so you could do something like http://website (assuming website is the "name" of the clarkconnect server).
