I just wanted to add a little bit onto this thread.
I find it is getting quite boring using all these .com .net etc, and after seeing how http://del.icio.us/ took off I'm starting to think about what top level domains I can use to turn into interesting words, for what I think is, a more interesting and rememerable domain name. If your thinking of doing this - here are some great resources to use. List of the worlds top level domains A dictionary you can use to enter in the last couple of letters of the domain, and find all words that end in those letters. Simply enter in the letters, choose Match Suffixes and search! What I try to find when selecting a domain name like this is a general suffix that can be used for many words, for example, if I were to register www.st.er for the one domain name I could create sub domains and have all these combinations: bani.st.er bu.st.er ea.st.er hip.st.er joke.st.er lob.st.er oy.st.er roo.st.er trick.st.er and more, and for only registering the ONE domain name! Well, thats my 2 cents.
