    Graphics Software

    Hi all,

I am looking for some graphics software that will allow me to create and edit jpg, png, gif files ang gif animations.

I like photoshop but it's too expensive. I also like Image Composer but I can't get it unless I buy Frontpage and I don't want to buy Frontpage.

    Can anyone recomend anything?

    Thanks,

    Fernando

    GIMP

No, I'm not offending you! GIMP is the name of a GNU image editing program.

It's supposed to be very close to Photoshop in functionality but I've never spent much time with it to find out.

Can't remember the website for it, but using a search engine should turn out the correct address.

Be advised, though, that while I am very pleased with the Gimp I did have some trouble when I installed it. It made MSIE not render png images. They came back, though, when I installed Opera 7 beta.

As an aside, I don't advise playing around with Opera 7 quite yet. Version 6.05, however, seems quite happy.
