    Raw recruit

I'm new here. I don't even know how to post anything anywhere. Also, I've just begun to create a website for my dad. I've seen some neat effects using java applets, and my only questions are the most basic - how do I get them to work in a dreamweaver page? I've got MX2004. I know absolutely nothing about java or applets, but I do know that I like some of the effects I've seen and want to know how I put them on my dw pages. Forgive my complete and total ignorance on this subject. Any and all help is appreciated. It must, however, be in the form of "A, B, C, 1, 2, 3". If I were learning football from you, you'd have to start out with, "This is a football". That's how basic you need to be. If I'm in the wrong site, please let me know. Everyone here seems very very advanced, and I could be asking people who don't have the time to go back to such basics. Or please just refer me to a site that is this basic. Thank you.

As the saying goes, I would start by learning to walk before trying to run. Begin by learning HTML markup. One good tutorial: http://www.htmldog.com/guides/htmlbeginner/

Then you'll be ready for more advanced topics such as adding Java applets into your page. ( http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/ob...ml#edef-OBJECT )

I've moved the thread to the General as it's a more appropriate forum. If you choose the forum most related to your question you'll generally get better answers.
