    Question Understanding email blockage

    I have email sometimes that gets blocked when sending stuff to friends that shouldnt get block. What method does these web places use to block out stuff and how can you get around that??? its a big nuisiance and i know its a way around it cause once in a while email that i dont want gets around my filters

    many email filters work by "spamifying" messages that are sent to lots of people or that have many links in them.

    how can another server tell if i on my own server sent it to a lot of people???? and is there a way around it?????

    It looks at the headers. If there are more than X number of recipients for a given message then it may block the message.

    Depends. If it's a Bayesian filter that "learns" then it checks headers, subject, and if it doesn't find disparity between what you tell it is junk and isn't junk then it searches the body.

    It all depends on the filter you're talking about. Some are as simple as blacklisting certain address ranges, while others can go through the body and learn what you think is spam based on what you tell it is spam and will start filtering messages that way.

    The best way to do it is have your friends whitelist your address, that should bypass all the other filtering rules.
