First of all you should make this website accessible for users who do not have javascript enabled(flash player installed) or have slow internet connection.

    Hi callMeAl,

    Thanks for your advice.

Do you think this might be an issue? My thought is that the websites today relies so much on Javascript that having Javascript enabled is the default.

I find it kind of annoying to read the italic text otherwise there nothing to complain about, except maybe the need for java as mentioned above, personally I don't find it that big of a problem but it's often better if anyone can visit your site without any special requirements.

    Hi aim4perfection,

thanks for looking at the site, when you said italic is annoying, do you think it make the text hard to read?

To callMeAl as well, you both are right that it's better to have more checks, I have added codes to inform visitors if they don't have Javascript enabled.
I generally don't like to use Javascript if I can help it, but unfortunately the Google Map API does require Javascript.

    Good suggestions guys.

I find the gray on gray (at least that is what it looks like to me) to be hard to read. I am partially color blind so it may not be gray at all, just thought I'd mention to keep in mind those with minor disabilities like color blindness as well.

Majority of the internet users have their JS enabled however for people like me, who use NoScript(especially on new, untrusted links) it's very important to be able to view a site with JS disabled.

Moreover a number of non-iPhone mobile devices don't support(or merely support) JS.

The basic accessibility principle is to develop html&css first and then add some extra JS/jQuery functionality. Just look at the most successful websites on the net like google, yahoo etc. - they all have non-JS content.

    Take care.

    Hi criterion9,

thanks for your input. The color scheme of the site is gray on white for most part. Please forgive my ignorance, I really have no idea how a color blind person perceive color. May I ask that when you see white color, do you see it as some shades of gray?

It might be my astigmatism that is causing the white to look gray. Either way there doesn't look to be enough contrast between the background and foreground color for me to be able to read it clearly. I have to focus pretty hard to make out the smaller font sizes.

On the more technical side of things.

If you are able to, look at using .htaccess to conceal the urls so you can do:
    http://www.geekpcservice.com/contactus.php
    Instead of:
    http://www.geekpcservice.com/geekpcs.../contactus.php

Also, do not have any whitespaces before the <!DOCTYPE> in your HTML. IE can go crazy at times due to quarks mode.

honestly speaking your website is very dull and cannot grab visitor's attention in first view. Though it is properly functional but you need to improve your design. Better hire a professional designer.

Your page shows a scripting error:

    Code:
    Line : 256
    Char : 26
    Error : Object Required
    Code : 0
    URL : http://www.geekpcservice.com/geekpcservice/index.php
Also, why have you got your index within a folder? It should sit within the first directory, not within a folder.

Website itself is OK, but the colours need looking at. Include a small amount of colour or graphics, spice it up a bit!

I would recommend adding some more graphics that would help make the site less "monochrome". This is definitely true for the WebDesign page. Show examples of your work. People are much less likely to hire you if they have to ask to see your work.

Sadly, I must agree with much of what has been said about the lack of color and graphic content. There is something refreshing about a website that is straightforward and presents its information without distraction, but people just aren't accustomed to it and it is often perceived as unprofessional.

Now for the good news. The site is well organized and easily navigated. While most of the text is presented in a business like tone, I particularly enjoyed the description, "An OS consists of thousands of pieces of small system files, over time, some of these files get corrupted, the computer will go berserk and all sorts of bad things could happen." Having seen precisely that happen many times, it gave me an unexpected chuckle.

Overall, I liked the site, but I would suggest adding some color and graphics.

Have a nice day and good luck with your business,
