Visio Professional 5.0
By Scott Clark
Plan and then diagram!
Early in the Web site development process, a designer may come up with sketches or diagrams depicting the upcoming Web site. Diagrams can present complex concepts quickly, speed the development process, and facilitate the communication of ideas more effectively.
One product that has been making such diagrams possible for business applications is Visio Corporation's Visio family of products. Visio has released a version of the product which can be used not only to visualize information infrastructures, define databases, plan software systems and analyze business processes, but also to plan and create diagrams for Web sites!

Visio Professional actually has a lot of features, but since most of our readers are concerned specifically with the Web-related aspects of the tool, that is what we will focus on in this review. Visio Corporation created VP 5.0 for anyone interested in planning, creating or managing information systems and processes, and that definitely includes Web developers.
