Guys help me i learn web development I’m new newbie .I just have html,css,bootstrap,core php&mysql skills.
Can anyone suggested me next which platform should i learn for web development .

@VITSUSAMar 07.2019 — Youtube is the best option to learn about web development because there are so many videos of each topic are available online that will helpful to you. Otherwise most of the instutes provides online training and classroom trainings option as well.

@ginerjmMar 07.2019 — Perhaps the next step is to actually write something useful? Something that may have value to you in your daily life. Maybe a log of some activity that you do. Or books that you read. Or maybe an app to keep track of your online purchases. Something silly or something serious. The point is to make it work properly and use these tools that you profess to know. Start slow and add to it to in order to practice "good style" that makes it easy to "grow" the application.

@NogDogMar 07.2019 — Or start learning a new programming language (Ruby, Python, C#, whatever...). Each language you learn makes you a better programmer, even with the languages you thought you already knew. But yeah, nothing teaches like actually doing, both for discovering the real-world issues (and holes in your knowledge that need to be filled) and being motivated to keep learning.

If your question is simply CMS versus Framework, you'll learn more general programming skills from learning a framework, as you'll still be doing a lot of "real" programming, versus just learning how to use a specific CMS -- which doesn't really teach you anything that can be used anywhere else except within that CMS.

@ginerjmMar 08.2019 — Well, that is not what you asked us. You asked us how to proceed with your development 'career'. The answer is to start using whatever skill set you have NOW and become proficient with it. You don't start making good money just because you "know" a few tools. You learn how to design and build things with the tools you have and grow from that experience.

If all you are attempting to do is "make the big bucks" here, I'll be sure to avoid doing business with you.

@smursalinMar 09.2019 — Well, if you are a developer and you are puzzled about what to pick really. Don't be! It always depends on the project and the requirements so I think there is not a reliable answer to that. Both the CMS and web frameworks(Counterfeiter Framework) are useful for website development.

@sibertMar 09.2019 — I am in the same process. But there are 3 main alternatives. I have played with them all (as a newbie)

  • 1. Simplest: CMS (Wordpress, Drupal etc). Easy and low threshold. Minimal coding.


  • 2. Not that simple: Frameworks (Angular, vue etc). Not so easy, but lot of extensions to add.


  • 3. Harder: Raw. php, html, css, javascript. Maybe need of Apache or Nginx to work. Lots of extra work, but the fastest (I think)


    • I am now playing with #3 but using the odd Golang as replacement of both Apache and php. Golang is lightning fast compared to both Drupal and Angular. But is harder to code. Because you have to reinvent the wheel sometimes.

    So the answer is the usual: It depends....

    @rootMar 09.2019 — You can't compare the two, one is a library / framework to build a site content and render it, the other is a full program to deliver content that has already had its format determined by the developers.

    You are trying to do the equivalent of performing a comparison or drag race if you like between a drag racer and a kid in a go-kart.

    If you wan flexibility, then go write code.

    If you want to be limited, Use a library.

    If you want to be stuck with what you're given, then go CMS.

    @spurMar 12.2019 — If you're a newbie, I say stick to html, css, javascript with some bootstrap jquery. I'm a newbie too(been doing web dev for 2 months as a self-taught) and my best advice is; start a project and do it. I'm at my 3rd website and it only get easier, my 1st website was very bad, my 2nd was ok but simple, I had some bootstrap to ease the navigation and now, i'm doing one with JQuery which I intend to do alot of JQuery to make it dynamic. I started the first month by watching yt and recopying people lines but it doesn't help at all, when you do it, that's where the perseverance comes in and the reward as well. gl
