VITSUSA but you also have the option to accept credit cards directly on your site
AND you INHERIT all the legal ramifications should your server leak data.
You realise that a secure server in finace circles is not https... well it is on the software but the physical security side of things...
One of the interesting jobs I had was to deliver these servers that were as tall as me, some were empty racking, some were full computers needing a fork lift to get off the waggon.
To get in tot he data centre, I had to pull up to the security gate that had a guard with a firearm, not all had armed guards, only those data centres that had a government computer access point. Eg, the local tax office, well that what I deduced as all my deliveries of a type of device was at a location in the country where a tax office was. Made sence, they need to back up to the system...
So security is tight, fenced, nasty guard dogs that would rather eat you and security doors that were wood on the outside to fool you but have a set of steel inner doors.
Went to a few places like that.
So that was a "SECURRE DATA CENTRE"
Now where did I mention HTTPS... did you see any https in that security?
Well lets face it, there are many levels of security and this is the main reason bitcoin is dangerous. Decentralised or not, control, just who is in control, security and perception of security are as you have been shown, many different things and span many levels and transcends those realms.
