search/filter list coding question

Hi,
Im creating a website that uses the search/filter code using java (the you search for something and it filters to it below the search bar) and I was wondering if I could help adjusting it slightly. I’m new to coding so bare with me! The current code was lifted from w3schools and its running the way it should. What I am now looking to do with it, is adjust it so that it would be a selection of images, rather than words, that you could filter through (ideally the images wouldn’t be listed below like the current one!) and the image you need appears. Is for a specific use and would be the only thing on the page. Any direction would be massively appreciated!

Do you have a sample of the images you wish to select somewhere?

How are the images to be filtered? Use filename? Contents?
