Advice on new website

Hi all, recently created a new website: https://unboxedreviews.co.uk Whilst I do like it, I feel like something is missing, or just not right. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m fairly new to WordPress too, and also having an issue where every post has the date in the URL IE /2019/05/19/title.php does anyone know where I can change this, or even stop it happening? I thought I could do it via Yoast but it seems I can’t 🙁

Another issue I am having is that the adverts take people away from the website instead of a new tab, should there not be a way to update this on WordPress or Adsense?

@shayd86authorMay 25.2019 — I have now been informed that having Adsense altered to open in a new tab is against Google's policy, although I think that's a bit ridiculous, I will need to keep that as is.
