Image Quality

Hi , I am working on my portfolio and I uploaded an image for a business card . The problem is that the quality is really bad . It has the standard business card size. I also tried to upload it as a vector but I did not had success .

Here you can see it: https://brave-sinoussi-964598.netlify.com/designer.html

Also let me know if the site takes a bit to load. I think it’s because is uploaded for free . 😅

@VITSUSAJun 04.2019 — If you follow terms and condition of the website then this problem will not be occur because it will suggest you which type of parameter you have to choose in the website.

@SempervivumJun 04.2019 — You mean the images "MagnumOPUS"? For me they are ok, the front as well as the back side.

@codyhillauthorJun 05.2019 — @Sempervivum#1604333 yeah, for me looks really pixelated

@SusheelLeionJun 05.2019 — Image quality can refer to the level of accuracy in which different imaging systems capture, process, store, compress, transmit and display the signals that form an image. Another definition refers to image quality as "the weighted combination of all of the visually significant attributes of an image". The difference between the two definitions is that one focus on the characteristics of signal processing in different imaging systems and the latter on the perceptual assessments that make an image pleasant for human viewers.

@AlbertDavidJun 11.2019 — I don't find it pixelated. It's viewed properly. And yes, the site takes time to load.

@tracknutJun 11.2019 — It's pixellated if you scale your browser up (ctrl+). The other images on that page are very large (e.g. 1080x1080), and therefore look fine as you scale up your screen. That particular business car image though, is 188px x 341px, and as you scale up the screen, it has no more content to display.

@codyhillauthorJun 11.2019 — @tracknut#1604556 ohh , that makes sens! thanks ! So I should make the img bigger and then make it smaller in css ?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@tracknutJun 11.2019 — The largest I would use is double the "native" size of the image, because that will handle Retina displays that by default will use the double sized image. I would not put images out that are 5x the native size, like those large ones you have. They are eating up bandwidth, display speed, etc, for the off chance that someone has their browser scaled way up.

@codyhillauthorJun 11.2019 — @tracknut#1604558 Yeah , I would have changed them anyway but thanks for the tip !
